Product Description

Rocket’s Red Glare Hot Poker is a semi-evergreen perennial with upright grass like dark green leaves.  A succession of thick showy spikes sporting a bottle -brush like cluster of flowers that open a vibrant warm red and age to creamy peach bloom on naked stems throughout summer into fall.  Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil.  The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Root Rot can be a problem in poorly-drained soils.
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Rock Garden, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Garden, and Containers. 

COMPANION PLANTS: Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, Salvia
