Product Description

Red Starburst Blanket Flower is a very compact herbaceous perennial with upright stems and grey green lance-like foliage.  The large, burnt red daisy-like flowers with a touch of yellow tips have prominent dark red seedheads, and bloom from late spring until the first frost.  Prefers full sun and dry to medium well-drained rich soils.  Very drought tolerant once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  Root rot may occur in poorly drained soils.  Susceptible to powdery mildew, leaf spot, and yellow asters.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Rock Gardens, Native Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Foundational Plantings, and Containers.
