Product Description

Sage Advice Russian Sage is a compact woody perennial with finely dissected aromatic grey-green foliage on stiff square stems.  Whorls of rich lavender-blue flowers on airy pinnacles bloom in summer.  Best flowering in full sun and well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Water regularly.  Cut foliage almost to ground as new growth appears.  Tends to sprawl as summer progresses, but stems will flop with too much shade.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Rock Gardens, Xeriscape, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS: Rose, Phlox, Rudbeckia
